Optimal Work

September 16, 2016, 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Daniel Lage

Are you working at your best?
We all experience optimal work from time to time. It is a way of working that sometimes seems to happen effortlessly; it is also something we can learn to do at will.

Harvard’s foremost researcher in peak performance, Daniel Brown, likes to compare optimal work to driving a car on a highway. The steering wheel keeps you going in the right direction; the accelerator gives you speed; and the gas tank supplies the energy.

In his upcoming talk, Daniel Lage will show you how to set the stage for attaining your highest level of work. Approaching your work with the right motivation, and a well-crafted schedule, will keep your energy level high. Learning to recollect your attention prior to beginning the task will ensure you overcome distractions and stay on track. Challenging yourself to achieve more in every hour of work will bring intensity to your efforts.

Through the practical steps that Daniel will outline, you will learn to turn each hour of work into a “golden hour” of focus. He will then address how to use these techniques to foster the ideals and relationships that will help you discern and pursue your future professional path.
