Patrick Hogan served as a Special Agent (street agent) with the FBI in Boston from 1976-1988, where he investigated white collar crime matters in addition to a some organized crime and foreign counterintelligence. After the Bureau he went to work in the private sector for Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1993, he returned to the Department of Justice, where he handled bankruptcy issues at the Office of the U.S. Trustee.
