John Almandoz, PhD
Assistant Professor, IESE Business School

A business leader has to think carefully about the policies and practices that will enable his employees to work at their best. John Almandoz will share some insights he has acquired while teaching at IESE Business School on how to evaluate the merits of these policies. He will structure his remarks through a case study of Bridgewater Associates, a rich hedge fund with a unique culture of radical transparency.


John Almandoz is an assistant professor in the department of Managing People in Organizations at IESE Business School. His background includes experience in actuarial consulting, corporate banking, and the management of non-profit organizations. He earned a joint Ph.D. in organizational behavior and a Master’s degree in sociology from Harvard Business School/Harvard University and an MBA at the Cox School of Business.
